Recipe: Kek Belacan Sarawak

Ingredients A
Pure Butter - 460gm
Castor Sugar - 200gm
Grade A Eggs - 10 nos

Ingredients B
Seri Kaya - 180gm
Sweetened Creamer - 300gm
Vanilla Essence - 1 teaspoon
Horlicks - 200gm
Milo - 100gm
Browning Sugar (Gula Hitam) - 70gm

Ingredients C
Cake Flour - 350gm


Method

  1. Soften the butter, beat well with Castor Sugar (Ingredients A).
  2. Slowly add in the eggs and beat well
  3. Add in Ingredients B and mix well. 
  4. Lastly, add in Cake Flour and beat till evenly well. 
  5. Prepare 9 inch Square Baking Pan and cover it with parchment paper. 
  6. Pour the mixture into the pan and tap the baking 2-3 times to reduce air bubbles. 
  7. Steam it for 4 hours.
  8. Serve whence it is cool.
